He's been banned.
Report his SteamID if he joins on another account.

General Discussion / Re: Why am I getting kicked?
« on: December 01, 2019, 12:13:19 AM »
I don't think that ever happened before, but I believe nobody gets kicked and the server remains full.
That's still very strange that you're getting kicked because another donator joined. Is that what the Kick message say?

Hey scotched,

You were kicked from the server because someone used a reserved slot?
That shouldn't happen since you're a donator. I checked the database, and your SteamID is in there.
It shouldn't matter how you connected to the server. As long as you're a donator, you should not be kicked to make room for someone else.

I did receive a complaint about reserved slot issue this afternoon. I did check the reserved slots, and they seem to be working fine. Can you please let me know if it happens again? And if you get any message/errors as well.
Everything looks good on my end, but it's possible either the Steam authentication server timed out for a bit or our SQL server did.

Sorry again about that.

General Discussion / Re: Map voting - change map choice keys
« on: October 14, 2019, 11:19:26 PM »
Sorry, I'll take a look at the suggestions.
Reason why the maps are not scrambled is because I felt it was easier to know what "kind" of maps each were if they were ordered. I'm glad the new map vote system is working better at least.

As for switching to F keys for voting, I'll take a look at the NativeVotesPlugin.

General Discussion / Re: VOTE: Favorite PL Map(s) to play
« on: March 13, 2019, 09:49:32 PM »
Hey guys.
Thank you for your votes and feedback.
I'm sorry it took this long to get this done, and I know the admins have been working extra to change maps manually. The problem was that the system Dave and I designed years ago for the mapchooser wasn't really working anymore (especially adding a lot of new maps). The mapchooser was designed for only official maps really, since back then being the quickplay matchmaking meant no custom maps.

I'm sure we'll need to make tweaks and fix issues, but I hope the new system will be more flexible and allow for more map diversity.

I'm not ready to add nominations just yet. RTV is still available however.

As for non-pl maps. It's something I'll consider later. I really want to make sure the mapchooser works, and that the maps chosen both by the plugin and players are enjoyable. If the maps chosen result in emptying the server every day, something is wrong. When we get to a point where its stable, we'll see about adding non-pl maps in special situations. At it's core, I'd like this server to remain Payload. That's what it's been since its creation, and we tried making a different server multiple times without success.

I'll post the maps list, and how they're chosen by the plugin later.
Please let us if you have questions, encounter issues, or just general feedback. I hope it makes the server more enjoyable for everyone.

General Discussion / Re: VM not working?

Hey HankusTheTankus,
Yammy is correct, the VM registration form is currently broken, so I have to do these manually.
I've replied to your PM, and added your SteamID to our VM database. You should be all set.

Welcome :)

So I talked to an admin, and he did warn you about using face stabbing scripts. Using scripts that exploit the wait command (among others) will result in a ban.
I'm just relaying the information, I don't play TF2 enough lately. I would suggest maybe holding off on donating, and instead playing a bit longer on the server.

Hey Kast Master,
I'll let admins know to take a look at your post. I'm not sure who "accused" you yet, so I'll get back to you when I've gathered more information. I understand if you'd rather wait a bit before donating.

Hi Paulthagerous,
Sorry about that, but unfortunately, our VM registration script is broken, so I have to do these manually.
I've added your SteamID to our VM database, so you should be all set.
Welcome and see you in-game!

PS: For anyone else reading this post that would like to become a VM as well, please send me a PM or email with all the requested information.
ie: Your SteamID, and make sure to have an account here, and make at least one post.

Yes, the servers are still online. On the main page, you can see the current status of both TF2 servers, and one out of 4 KF2 servers.

Just to let everyone know, we don't have an "official" server, so we're not managing the one above (no donator privileges, etc...)

Servers Feedback / Re: My problem?

Hmm, do you remember your usual average ping on the server before you've been having high ping issues?
The server is set up to check and kick players with ping higher than 220ms for longer than a minute.

You can try to run a trace route between you and our server, and maybe we can see where/if any there's a major delay, that wasn't there before. As I said, sometimes, there are some slow downs on different network sections between your location and the server.

It's not on our end though, as you're the only one that has reported a high ping issue lately (and I've checked connectivity, network performance, etc...).

Around what time do you usually play (server time)? I'd say, try to ping/tracert again, and if all else fails, and your ping is still between 150-250ms, we'll figure something out in a few days. Is that OK?

Nothing changed on our end.
You can try pinging the server, and report back here. Sometimes there can be some issues on different ISPs and networks between your PC and our server. If you've been playing for a long time, then I'm thinking it's probably only a temporary issue. Let me know if you're still having high ping.

Payload Server / Re: PAYLOAD SERVER DOWN

Server was down for a few hours on Saturday night because of a DDoS attack.
Sorry about that.
