I shouldnt have to explain this over and over but...

This is a 15 year old free to play non competitive game. Playing with people you enjoy playing with as well as NOT playing with people you dont enjoy playing with and dont like you isnt "team stacking". The problem with that is those same people often end up yelling at their team mates to change classes, some will assign themselves team leader and begin barking at team mates on how to attack or defend, what to play, etc., complain about the loss and are generally cancerous to the team itself with their demands and anger. on the other team there is laughing and call outs and that team generally smashes the team thats constantly yelling at others. I dont come here to be yelled at, bossed or told what to do. Heres a pro tip. I play this game so I have fun. I dont play it so YOU have fun. There was a group that developed there for awhile that generally did not include the people above and the skill level, as well as general civility on the team was destroying the opposite team. Not team stacking. Gaming enjoyment.

I'm going to have to agree with the auto-join feature kind of - if not ruining, then changing the dynamics of my emjoyment of playing on this server. Orignally, when joing this server, i could join on my favorite peoples currently online/in-a-team, and have a blast playing for hours! More than half of the people on my friends list were made during this time. Then the auto-join feature was enabled - exaclty as StrangerDanger discribed the reason(s) for, and my whole fiasco happened during one of these "forced" team joins. But I've adapted the best I can at this time and since I talk to all and listen to all I have to walk on eggshells to make sure I don't step over someones toe's who happens to be on my team... To sum up, while nowadays playing on this server is fun to visit for a while if some friends might end up on a team together, but the matches quickly dissolve if too many bail outs of "those guys" team, and the server empties out. My random TF2 server join rate has gone up 40 percent or more since the new auto-join feature here at Hyperion, which has turned our elite Hyperion home into "just another random servers" same model of auto-join, to "keep the teams balanced". ...Talking on the teams back in the early days was always a joy and fun, always looked forward to playing with friends, Hyperion was THE TF2 server, and I felt humbled just being invited  to play here with so many excellent TF2 gaming peoples. As with most things that move in time, Shadows and Dust results. Could we try the choose-team-to-join model again for a while and see what happens? My guess is the server wouldn't die out, it would more likely thrive again, with friend activity and just some good damn (team) game play, like TF2/Hyperion is meant to be!

so not being able to stack teams ruins your enjoyment? did i read that correctly?

Please don't be concerned, this is a normal part of the process of becoming an admin here at Hyperion.  8)

How did Stuperfox become an admin?  They have 80% of the server muted because they can't get along with anyone...

These were sent over. Good times. So I had just joined the server. Literally. First game of the night. Kittie screaming maniacally about spies but refused to throw a single heal on me. Hey kittie, pro tip. You want spy protection? Heal a pyro.

Pappa woody can you be on our team mentally? If you notice, after just joining, im mid way up the board. Of course, enforcer is talking trash as usual. Its my understanding he was bitching and whining before I got there and once I joined I became the target for his anger. Sad little man. I cant even hear him which to me is hilarious. But enforcer, please make up your mind. As I left to refresh my spray and rejoined you threatened to ban me. When I rejoined on your team, which I don't want to be on anyway, you want me to go to the other team. Stop being a juvenile ass. I realize the authority you have here is the biggest thing going in your life. I promise you if I can join the team I want I'll never be on your team. Of course, you had to change it to be that way because a LOT of folks would join the team opposite you and it would always be a slaughter.

Kittie - pappa woody help us

I am helping kittie. Dont worry about me though. You worry about you. Im at their spawn deflecting rockets into it, holding 3 people back from getting out, blowing back an uber medic/heavy from the cart and putting people on fire out. AND always checking for spies. Notice the board there. After literally just joining im mid way up. So clearly, im playing the game. Again, if you need help from spies feel free to change classes or actually heal for once and you'll get spy protection. If you remember one thing. Remember this. I dont play this game so YOU have fun. I play so I have fun.

Act like adults people. I didnt elect a team leader. I always play the game. You're not my boss. Dont tell me how or what to play. After 20 years in this game I figure I've got a pretty good idea of how it works.

So people, I'm confused. Please advise. Admittedly I have Enforceer muted. With respect to him as a decent admin i'm not a fan of him as a player. The dude ruins a team. So I was auto joined and hit /retry to reload a spray. I logged back in to Stuper saying "he joined our team" which was apparently Enforcers team. I simply reloaded to load a new spray. however, if I had a choice i would legit join any team Enforcer isnt on because he whines/complains/team blames the entire game. If I had my choice in joining a team I would honestly join the opposite team Enforcer is on and I would have a statistically 70% chance of a win but more importantly a team that wasnt team cancer. Anyway, even though I couldnt hear him I understand Enforcer, the admin, was going to block me for rejoining and then once i was on his team (at no fault to myself) he wanted me to go to the other team. Big Caulk, can you explain this? After two rounds of having someone angry with me (that i cant hear) and the inability to join the other team I did the adult thing and just left and went to Oprahs. Pro tip - im not responsible for you at all. Im not responsible for the spies attacking you. I play what I enjoy. I dont have a boss here yelling at me. I didnt elect a team leader. I play for my own reasons. Primarily to have fun. If this confuses you, thats fine. Im not responsible for that either. I'd legit prefer to not be on your team. Ive got a 3x more % chance to win and actually enjoy the game.

Its very confusing.
