I have the Hyperion Books, I admit I haven't yet read them... I hear they're very good. I play on Hyperion weekly and would like to spray the walls. The server usually has a good level of competition and a decent maturity level. I've known Chainspell since I started playing TF2 and have learned a lot from gaming with him. Looking for advice on how to get my VM to work (I hate any type of enrollment, it's a personal problem) and once that is rolling I'd like to make a donation. What else does one need to do to get privs?

The name actually didn't come from the Hyperion books, I learned about them after we picked the URL. I've always loved Greek mythology, and Hyperion has always been one my favorite Titans for being the father of Helios (Sun). Sadly, it's far from being original, and just a quick google check will show how much the name has been used, from major businesses, to games, to literature, etc... At first, I wanted to pick another Titan, one maybe a bit less famous, but sadly the others have names to difficult to spell or too long, or simply don't sound great.

I keep hearing the books are good too though, so I guess I'll have to check at some point.

You don't have to register as a VM if you decide to make a donation since a Donor is basically a tier above VM on our server/website hierarchy. Even if you let your Donor membership expire, your SteamID will remain in our VM database, so you'll still be able to spray and be less likely to be kicked for reserved slot.

The idea behind VM registration was because too many players abused sprays to shock/troll other players. It was so bad (especially when TF2 became F2P, since there's no way now to stop someone from creating multiple accounts to avoid bans) that we had to stop sprays completely. We figured that was unfair to players that didn't abuse sprays and kept playing on our servers night after night. That's why we've decided on this compromise. Yes, it takes a few minutes to register, but it's completely free, gives small additional perks and it's forever. That way we can also remove someone's ability to spray if they don't follow the rules.

Herro, its-a-me. You might know me for panning you down with a name such as Hugh Janus or Spies tickle my anus. I play tf2 regularly and try to play hyperion with other rng guys and gals to have some fun. I used to live in California thats where i started playing with ataris @ hyperion but when i moved to Virginia my ping is around 100 on the servers, but that doesn't stop me form havign fun.

Hey, I play TF2 PL most of the time when I play TF2. If I'm not playing it, it is because the HG server is likely full and I'm waiting to get auto-joined into it

When I'm not playing TF2, but online, I am likely playing Dota 2. I've played since WC3 and can't wait for more heroes to be made.
