Title: Suspected Hacker
Post by: Platinum on January 02, 2015, 01:01:39 AM
After being completely dominated by "JP" I decided to see what his sniping looked like first hand.  It became immediately apparent that he was hacking.  The most egregious thing he did was smoothly tracking heads behind walls and insta-headshotting when they rounded the corner.  I'm worried about the server's response to me bringing it up.  A couple others spectated him and agreed.  One of the admins (EP) spectated him but logged off shortly after without taking any action.  I have since spectated JP and confirmed my suspicions.  He toggles it off when people say anything in chat about his hacking.  Hyperion has quickly become my favorite server, but this blatant hacking is really ruining it for me.

What does that supposedly prove?

I've been playing this game competitively for nearly 5 years with multiple seasons in Platinum and Gold HL as sniper. There are plenty of good snipers in the server that can play as well as me so there is no point in trying to disprove your theory.

Phasma I hope you take the time to see this demo and permaban JP, and give admins the power to ban ingame.

jp isn't another Nehalem who had no Competitive experience and went on 30+ killstreaks regularly. He isnt sporting a ridiculous K/D like Nehalem was. His profile is public and he obviously has years of experience at the highest level of TF2. I think by now if he was hacking all this time in highlander he would've been banned. This would make Hyperion look really bad if we went and banned people who are just really good.

That footage is certainly odd. Even more that he always have less than 30 ping. But what do i know? Im no expert in video forensics.

I'm not tech savvy enough to know what to look for in a demo
to see if somebody is hacking but I've been killed numerous times by JP
where it seems impossible to hit me unless he can shoot through walls or around
corners and obstacles. This could be due to his low ping but he always outscores
the rest of the server by a 2:1 margin over the 2nd highest score. This always makes
me suspicious unless I've played with them a long time. I play for fun, So i play and
donate to a Pub. If somebody is so pro that thy rape the server and piss off the
entire opposing team they should relax a little and dial the intensity down.

I played competitive CS where hacking was a much more pervasive problem.  I know what it looks like.  I spectated you for an entire round.  It was really obvious.  Lots of people have seen it.  I don't know why this is even being debated.
