can you guys install ns2 stats on here?

Hey,

Yes, we used to have NS2Stats installed, especially during the beta. However, the NS2 devs decided to remove NS2Stats from the mods whitelist, which means having NS2Stats installed makes the server appear as Modified in the server browser. Unfortunately, many players hide Modified servers by default, and that would mean a lot less players in general.

I've asked several times both the NS2 dev team and the NS2Stats team to whitelist their mod, but unfortunately for now nothing has come out of it. But maybe we'll give it a try, and see if traffic is really affected by going the Modified route. We'll keep you guys posted.

Now that Modded Server list is gone... Would Ns2Stats be able to be readded?

I actually had reinstalled NS2Stats back on patch 245, but version 246 broke the plugin again.
I think the NS2Stats dev team fixed it, so I guess I'll give it a try again sometime tomorrow or during the week. I'll let you guys know in this thread if it's working.

It comes with a bunch of additional stuff like kill streaks which I don't think fits NS2 at all, more for custom mods like Combat.

Ok, Thanks Plasma.

I think theres a way to turn off the KillStreaks and Stuff, and have the normal and popular items in it.

Yes, I'll definitely disable the extra stuff.
I'm a bit busy this week, but I'll try to install the stats (if it works) ASAP.
