Since Christmas is near and this server plays badwater a lot i thought this might be a neat addition for the upcoming weeks. I'm not sure how everyone feels about custom maps but its basically a christmas themed pl_badwater. Take a look, its just a suggestion.

looks kinda neat actually. i wouldnt mind. not sure how others feel about downloading maps. i know i hate it :p

Unfortunately, we don't want to have custom maps on our current TF2 servers. While I love the idea, and I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy playing on a different map for a while, it's not what these servers are for. We don't want our players to have to download custom content to play on our servers; there are enough servers out there that force you to download 20 custom sound files and models. We just want to keep everything simple and as "vanilla" as possible.
The other reason is that we're using Valve's quickplay settings, and custom maps are not supported.
It's a good suggestion though. I guess we could maybe have another server with custom maps/content, but for now we haven't seen enough demand for such a server.

And that's why I love this server(s). None of that downloading bs. Man did I hate downloading all those extra files for different servers lol

NS2 added some christmas decoration to the staging area or "ready room" in all the official maps in a recent update. It even allows you to throw snowballs. Fun stuff. Wish TF2 would do this. Although, I think you can throw snowballs, right?
