Title: How to get an icon from online or from a folder?

I'd like to have an avatar from my computer but I seemingly can only choose from pre-set avatars.

You don't see the upload option? For me, I click the white rectangle box on Steam 'Edit my profile' to upload images.

Azure, only Verified Members are allowed to upload their own avatar picture.
It's easy to register to VM status. You just need to join our steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/hyperiongaming (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/hyperiongaming)  and fill in this form: http://hyperiongaming.org/index.php?page=page3457 (http://hyperiongaming.org/index.php?page=page3457)
