When I first played TF2 (February 2011) I only played sniper & hoodoo for literally the first 3 months. It wasn't until about maybe 2 months ago from today that I started to try soldier lol, but like I dunno man it takes getting used to. I am by no means claiming I'm good at it, but I find soldier to be advantageous in situations depending on which weapon you use. I think in pubs like a lot of people dog on the lazer rocket launcher, but I find it to be useful (and distracting) to the opposing team. I never use rocket jump also but man sometimes I have fun being soldier and RANDOMLY owning ^_^

Wow, thanks Shank! That really helps!!! :D
I think I can do much better now.

If you want to get good, play the default loadout until you reach the top of the scoreboard. Then customize to help the team.

I say to improve as a soldier, you must use the Cow Mangler 5000.
Wait... or was it not to use... I'm confused. Must be why I'm terrible as a Soldier. :(

Switch to soldier when Plasma comes in and only aim at him. You'll be racking up the kills in no time! ;)

but I dont see Plasma in the server..... :(

Soldier is fun to play, it just takes practice to know what the strengths and weaknesses of the class are.
Its best in middle distance engagements but spamming the launcher is never a bad thing. Most of the time aim for the feet, then you can get enemies to bounce up and juggle them to make them have worse positioning.
