Title: ABOUT THAT PING..

hey guys, im new on this forum thingy here so please  bear with my noobishness.

anyway, i have been playing on the hyperion payload server a long time now but as of late my ping went from barely acceptable 100-145 to 200 or 300 or higher. i never changed anything about any settings or any new background programs but i always find myself getting ping-kicked and believe me its a pain in the
razorback just waiting because the server is always full.

Can you give us some details?
Where are you playing from? Your internet connection?

We haven't made any changes to the servers recently. We will look into it however.

Storm what programs do you have running in the background?

Are you on a shared internet connection?

Are you playing via WiFi?

im in southeast asia using DSL, and even on a shared connection the downspeed is horrifyingly fast.
but the damn ping.  THAT DAMN PING.

i used to even batch direct download and have tons of background programs running/using the net without much affecting gameplay. but now, the ping if super high.

closing other applications dont even cut more than 5 ping away.

P.S i've played a long time on the hyperiongaming server and i used to even play at most american servers.

P.P.S ive also removed tf2, uninstalled steam and reinstalled steam and tf2 from a backup. someone told me to get rid of the backup and download a new tf2 client but i dont know if i should.
