Voted. I tried to only vote for my favorite 2-3 for each poll so there's plenty of maps I didn't select that are fine just not absolute favorites.

Under Play, Find a Game and near the bottom is "Community Servers". Takes you back to the familiar server browser.

I highly recommend KF 2 too. Don't let the early access scare you away. It's extremely polished and everything that's currently in game looks and feels great. Certainly can't wait though for new maps and the rest of the perks. And it's only $30.

I'm in favor of removing random criticals. I've seen plenty of times a coordinated kritz medic and attack class be outdone by a random crit and it just doesn't fit the game to me. I don't see TF2 as a game where randomness has a place over coordination.

Agreed with both points n. made. I can barely get a drink and sit back down before the 60 second afk timer moves to spectate. Also, in regard to being in spectate for an unlimited amount of time, it does seem like it could be greatly reduced to something reasonable. The whole benefit of the reserved slot is being able to launch right back into the server so it doesn't really matter if someone goes AFK in server or quits first.

An excellent point and one of the reasons I made this thread. A large group of people have been asking for mixed modes for quite some time now. If anyone reading this doesn't believe me, just read through all of the threads posted in this forum alone. The reason we never had mixed mode on the payload server is because some admins did not want to make it mixed mode. For whatever reasons they have, I can't see that ever changing or it would have happened by now. Payload server will always be a payload server. I completely respect their decision on that and think the direction they took by adding custom maps has been great. However, with an empty server sitting there doing nothing while ignoring how many people have been asking for a mixed mode server for a very, very long time is beyond me. Like you said, "people that play have their own community they want to be a part of" and a lot of us want to play mixed modes with this community, not just payload.
Edit: Not all of that was directed at you, Dr. Quantum. I just thought you made a great point that I wanted to elaborate on.
I certainly hope we can get the second server going. I know there are plenty of times I'm not ready to stop playing but for whatever reasons I want to get off payload (map I don't like, simply getting frustrated at playing poorly) and if a second server was populated I would probably switch on over. I think it's a testament to the community that many people, myself including, consider playing TF2 and playing on Hyperion as the same thing.

I would very much love a mixed mode server with some of the regulars we all enjoy playing with.
Payload: Agree that it's better to probably have only stock options. They are easier to populate and people still like them. I'm in the camp that they are good maps but simply overplayed on the PL server (though some feel they aren't good maps).
PLR: I'm in the minority I guess of players who enjoy the frantic play these maps have to offer. They aren't very popular but perhaps it would be best to have two maps to break up game modes.
KOTH: In a similar vein as PLR, some of these are popular and might be good to include at least one in a rotation BUT I think with the right mix of other modes and maps this wont be missed if it's included.
5CP: I agree with the 6 maps mentioned.
A/D: I also agree with maps mentioned here as well.
CTF: Enough servers have 24/7 2Fort that it need not be considered although I think it would be fun to play with everyone. Don't have experience with other CTF maps to comment.
As it is, I don't ever see the server with anyone in it so what would it hurt to try this out? I think a lot of it is just that the game is aging and the people that play have their own community they want to be a part of. Why spend the few hours we have to play trying to populate a server when instead we can join the payload map that's at capacity every night.

Hi again everyone. Just to be clear, I never got caught hacking because I don't hack. I haven't even played on these servers since October 15th so I think you're confusing me with someone else.
Have a good one.

YES to bringing back Metro.
I agree that it seems like the map voting has been strangely limited lately. I don't know if it's an actual issue or just perception. I also greatly appreciate great admins like Enforcer and Wolfpup who make playing better overall with things like map changes.

Looking forward to new maps.
As for removal, I would vote for Manngrove as well.

I always called this the F1 effect lol.
Of the most commonly played maps, Gold Rush is my favorite. I'd much rather play it than Upward or Badwater. To me, gold rush is a good map but simply overplayed
