Server down or is it me?

is the server down or is it just me? I can't access through the VIP link I have setup to get through even if the server is full since I donate. I think the server is broken and if it is I blame Dave!!! LMAO!!!   <3

Yes, the server was down. Unfortunately, Valve's fix to their update didn't solve anything. The same engine errors are still happening. This happens only on Payload and Votation, and we expect a lot more crashes until Valve actually fixes these errors. I'm afraid they're all gone during the weekend... We'll do our best to keep crashes to a minimum, but honestly, there's not much we can do. Keep an eye on these forums, we'll keep you guys updated.

Believe me, every time Valve releases an update, I pray to the Internetz Kitty Gods that it won't prevent you guys from playing the game...

If only Valve actually had a QA department for these updates...  Heck, if only they'd release their updates to a bunch of server ops before actually going live, or maybe stop releasing major updates on a Thursday night (Just do it on Monday... gives plenty of time to fix problems before weekend!)... Ah well.

Ah I was gone all weekend on vacation, but since last Monday night since I've been back the servers haven't crashed =]

Well, you didn't miss much unfortunately.
Valve released a patch that didn't fix anything, and then left the office. We had to wait till this morning for them to find the problems and patch it. Since then, servers have been running smoothly. We are seeing some strange quickplay issues here and there that's affecting traffic. Overall though, it's much better.
