When I first joined this server a while back, guess what. I had the pleasure of playing against PrettyGirlsMakesGraves constantly and the multiple medics that were glued to his ass. I never played Payload. I never knew a demoman could be that powerful. Everyone always teamstacked his team when he played under that name handle. I came from 2Fort Skial. Not much of a breeding ground for any type of teamplay dynamic. Here's the difference I see. I chose to play on here as an opportunity to learn new things. There's a multitude of ways to improve your game. What I've seen by a vast majority of the complainers is an excuse to demonize and polarize against one group. For the most part, a lot of us are just playing as individuals on the same team. An occasional msg back and forth for a little assistance on  a few things but there are no miracles occurring. This "griefing"/"trolling" you speak of? Regulars have been doing it on this server for ages and are still playing. Most here just accept it as the norm because they are regulars and not new names. I rarely type in chat you know why? Because I just play the game. Plain and simple.

Hey m8. I was on the server when you were being deliberately hostile toward Crocodile Hunter on map Swiftwater. All he was doing was coordinating over comms and you shut him down based on his accent. I don't know if you realize this, but us outback m8's have a more rugged accent than your typical Australian city dweller. We are a kind, fun loving bunch. Look I even have a baby Koala named Koko that I saved from the wild.

When I play medic, I rely on our fearless outback leader Crocodile Hunter to make calls for pushes and to coordinate ubers. He's a joy to play with so where's the hostility coming from? Is it because we're the #1 clan on Hyperion?

General Discussion / ENC FTW!

Hello fellow Hyperion TF2'ers!

I'd like to introduce Extremely Nice Chaps {ENC}. We hope one day to be as good as those who inspire us at EMC. First and foremost, this team was formed to pay homage to those that inspire us. EMC's members truly lead by example and are strong standing pillars of the Hyperion Community.

I'm here to only voice a concern that us continuing to play on this server under our current umbrella tag may lead to us not being able to play on the server in the future. It has come to the attention of some Admins that us playing has lead to strikes against our status' for the Payload server. For example, I was recently given a strike which I changed my name so as not to tarnish the EMC name. But I feel I could have politely been asked or msg'd to take the tag off before given the strike. I would have complied either way. There may be some misinterpretation occuring but this should be taken as a form of flattery to EMC and not the opposite.

Unfortunately, we are getting into the same issues that plagued RNG initially when they were forming in regards to NRG. I believe a precedence has been set in their case and should not exclude us from the same validation.

We would love to gather your input on this topic. Hyperion members feel free to offer your point of view. We would like to see this discussion from all angles.

Yours Truly <3,
Crocodile Dundee{ENC} aka Smelly Cat

^ exactly what this community needs. No random crits, class limits, no pocket medics. And a good introduction to those who are interested in competitive style play.
