That's great! You can try tf2center.com to get your feet wet in comp play. I'd suggest reading up on some material first though. Just to know what is generally expected of you in a 6v6 game. Youtube guides are actually pretty good.

This has been mentioned before (mainly about highlander) so I'd like to propose once again that we start an HG 6v6 team!

I think we can do it if we are able to find ourselves a team captain!

I'd love to fill the role of a scout if we ever get a team going. 6v6 can be so rewarding!

I think we lose people with broken maps like barnblitz.

With the regulars we have, we'll basically turn away just about anyone with the stalemates on that last point. I don't think it will affect anything. We still have the important official maps like Goldrush and Badwater.

What I would give for limiting the spy and sniper to 1...

Only have to worry about 1 sniper? It's like he isn't even there!
1 Spy? I ain't even mad!

Haha on a serious note though, 3 spies and snipers seems to be a good number.

Yeah, it's still happening. The server is full every time, it just won't allow auto join. You have to wait until there are "30/32" players which in reality is 31, and even more likely that someone was kicked to make room. I can see how it's frustrating for people.

That AND the ability to change maps if they are causing the server to die. If the admin in charge DOES do this, they should log it and keep a record so that we can gather some conclusive data on which maps are generally more preferable. Once the server becomes more stable, that command can either be removed or reserved.

Hi I'm Jackflash, I enjoy long walks on the beach, video games (duh), guitar, getting drunk, and hats.
Live in Long Beach, from New England.  Been playing on this server for a while now, I like it because it easier to know who is good from seeing them all the time, so I know who to uber or follow around.

Haha! I'm glad you like it here. We try to stay competitive, so pretty much every regular here is worth ubering ;) don't hesitate!

I'm Snake Doctor. Name derives from the nick names I had in the US Army. I was an Attack Helicopter Crew chief on the AH-1E Cobra (Bell 209). Hence we were snake doctors,  Death from above baby!

I was wondering what it meant... It's catchy — Snake Doctor!

Realistically you're looking at 18 players max (highlander), so I guess your UP should be fine with that. If it's password protected to boot then you don't even have to worry about spectators screwing things up.

In any case, I'm sure we can find people to populate the server every now and then. I haven't played ugc for more than year, but yesterday I found a match on a lobby site and remembered why the mode was so much fun :)
