General Discussion / Re: Engineer Bind for Placement Screen?
« on: January 17, 2014, 06:39:20 PM »
I actually remembered my old Steam account, so I switched back to 'Axon' which had all my old binds saved on the steam cloud.  No issues now.

I never did figure it out, even after resetting to defaults.

Anyone know what this bind is? It's driving me insane trying to play Engy with no cancel.  I cannot remember for the life of me, unless it is new.

Last time I played (over a year) it was simply default Escape.

Storm what programs do you have running in the background?

Are you on a shared internet connection?

Are you playing via WiFi?

Halo:

The item server going down has nothing to do with your client. It is an issue on Valves end.

Re: High Pings

This week, my ping has tripled.  Went from 32 to 96, steady.

No idea why, but really annoying.

I have checked in on Steam chat with some other Victoria regulars, we all have 84-112 on various providers.  Jean-Luc lives 10 minutes from me and we both are rocking 94 and 96 pings.  I called my ISP and asked if anything was going on in the greater victoria area, they said no and no scheduled maintenance.

I demand answers.

We have removed your ban from the summer, which is our Christmas present to you as we never lift a perm ban.

Please do keep in mind that racism is a permanent ban, and excessive language will get you banned again.  Some language is okay, we know what it's like to get caught up in the game play and frustrated at some spy using the skill ringer  ;D

Have fun.

I only have high ping when I first connect, then after it's done loading and syncing, it stays normal.

New version released this morning including many fixes, music updates, new cool down pads (reduces heat when you drive over them) and 8 new maps.

You were permanently banned in July due to inappropriate language.

A senior admin may over turn this ban, if he sees fit.  Until then, the ban will remain.

Hey Plasma thanks for the welcome!  May I make a recommendation of adding Hoodoo and Thundermountain?  I played Thundermountain in yalls server for the first time in months because it's hard to find a 32 slot Thundermountain game and it was TONS of fun.  Definitely had me bookmarking the server and will return for more!!

On another note, I see a lot of regulars were nice to me being the outsider so that was also a plus!

General Discussion / Re: Map Rotation
« on: December 06, 2011, 08:24:00 PM »
Ugh, this thread again...  ;D

The problem with that is a few things.  One, the time of day.  Two, the players connected.  And three, the over all "mood" of the server.

We have tinkered tirelessly for months coming up with the best rotation, selection, weight and placement for the Payload/Rotation servers where at its current status, we have 90% of the people pleased.

At certain times, certain maps don't work.  And that's the problem.

Right now, the Payload rotation will stay as is.  We want to give everyone the best possible play experience we can, but unfortunately that is an unrealistic goal.  Some people complain Hoodoo isn't played enough, some people complain once a day is too much for Hoodoo, etc.  We've heard a lot of feedback on the forums about the two servers map rotations.

In the future, we may tweak them some more if we can keep the player base strong.

Thanks for the feedback, Captain!

Welcome back to the game, and glad to have you as a player.  Look forward to melting face with you in-game.
